Sygnature’s Remarkable Export Growth Acknowledged in National League Table

Sygnature Discovery, has been listed in the inaugural Sunday Times BT Business SME Export Track 100.

Published in May 2015, Sygnature Discovery has been ranked at number 50, in the league table that ranks Britain’s top 100 private small and medium-sized companies with the fastest growing international sales over the last two years.

Over the last two financial years, Sygnature Discovery has seen an annual growth in international sales of 58%. In FYE 2014 international sales reached £3.3m representing 39% of total sales.

CEO and Founder, Dr Simon Hirst, commented, “This is a significant achievement for Sygnature Discovery. Being recognised in the Sunday Times BT Business SME Export Track 100 validates our strategy to grow the business through export by maximising opportunities in international markets. We are forecasting a further increase in international sales for the current financial year and now work with biotech and pharmaceutical customers in the USA, Germany, Denmark and Australia.”

He continues, “This is also credit to the hard work carried out by our teams of highly skilled scientists that deliver great science. I also believe that our integrated drug discovery offering, which enables us to design, make, test and analyse potential drugs, is proving attractive to our customers who are now able to work with us throughout the drug discovery process.”

Danny Longbottom, Managing Director UK SME at BT Business, commented, “I would like to congratulate the businesses recognised in the inaugural Export Track 100, who are proving that it’s not necessarily size that determines international success. These businesses have used a combination of self-starting ambition, smart use of technology and sheer hard work to punch well above their weight in the global market. The fruits of their labour are contributing to a strong and diverse UK economy, which we can all be thankful for.”

The SME Export Track 100 is sponsored by BT Business and is supported by the Business is GREAT Britain Campaign. It is compiled by Fast Track, the Oxford-based research and networking events company.

The full league table was published in a four-page broadsheet supplement in the business section of The Sunday Times on 17th May 2015 and on www.fasttrack.co.uk
