In Vitro Th1/17 Models For Small-Molecule Screening and Selectivity Profiling

In Vitro Th1/17 Models For Small-Molecule Screening and Selectivity Profiling

Human Th17 cells play a central role in autoimmune and inflammatory disease, making them an important target for drug discovery. However, identifying compounds that selectively modulate Th17 pathways requires robust and physiologically relevant screening models.

This poster describes the development and validation of human Th17 and Th1 polarisation models designed to support compound screening, selectivity profiling, and mechanism-of-action studies. Using healthy donor-derived CD4+ T cells, the models were characterised through cytokine secretion and flow cytometry-based readouts and evaluated with a panel of inhibitors targeting key signalling pathways involved in T helper cell differentiation.
