At Sygnature we were the first CRO to offer analysis of proteins and complexes using FIDA. It has many applications based on measuring the size of particles in solution allowing us to interrogate the state of a protein sample in solution, perform stability studies and look at protein-ligand interactions. It offers an orthogonal method to SPR and Dianthus.

How we can assist you

We use Fida for our own internal quality control and to understand the proteins that we make. We also offer Fida analysis as a standalone service with your samples.

Fida allows measurement of the size of particles in solution.

Particle Size: Gives information on:

  • Oligomeric state
  • Aggregation
  • Polydispersity
  • Correlate measured radius to predicted radius from PDB

Peak Size: Gives information on:

  • Quantification
  • Protein stability
  • Protein absorption

Change in signal: Gives information on:

  • Protein-ligand interaction
  • Kd, N
  • Ternary complex analysis
  • Kd1, Kd2, cooperativity
  • Unfolding / denaturation
  • Change in fluorophore environment.

“Fida allows rapid measurement of protein size in solution and can be done with or without labelling. We can use this information to study both functional and structural properties, evaluating protein stability, activity, and ligand binding all using a single instrument.”
