When HPLC Fails: SFC Saves the Day

A compound’s solubility prevented HPLC analysis. We used a DCM/MeOH mix and transitioned to analytical SFC (UPC²).

  • Excellent peak shape
  • Retention time adapted for preparative scale
  • Seamless handoff to prep-SFC

The compound produced tailing peaks under reverse-phase HPLC. Switched to achiral SFC, improving both separation and speed.

For our clients, the benefits of Sygnature’s separation sciences platform are clear:

  • Speed: High-purity materials generated faster, even at scale
  • Sustainability: Less solvent use, greener workflows
  • Cost efficiency: No unnecessary GMP-grade overengineering in early phases
  • Risk reduction: In-house method development and continuity through scale-up
  • Clinical foresight: Prep methods transferable to CDMOs and GLP/GMP partners

We’re not just solving analytical puzzles, we’re preparing you for what’s next, with data and material you can act on.
