Rick Davies

Director, Protein Sciences and Structural Biology

Rick joined Sygnature Discovery in January 2025 as Director of Protein Sciences and Structural Biology in the UK. With more than 30 years of experience in a big Pharma environment, Rick is an internationally recognized leader in his field and has led numerous early drug discovery projects on different targets and across different therapeutic areas.

He has led teams responsible for expressing and purifying protein targets for hundreds of drug discovery projects and played a key role in implementing DNA-encoded library screening at AstraZeneca.

At Sygnature, Rick leverages this expertise to strengthen the UK Protein Sciences and Structural Biology department’s reputation for quality delivery and scientific excellence.
