Stephen Thom, PhD

Deputy Director, Chemistry

Steve brings more than 30 years of drug discovery experience to his role, having worked at AstraZeneca for 15 years then moving to Sygnature Discovery where he has now worked for over 15 years. He has worked across projects in a number of different therapeutic area,  delivering high-quality preclinical candidates. Steve has led multiple medicinal chemistry programs, and provides his experience and knowledge to current projects . He is an inventor on more than sixty patents and seventeen publications.

Steve holds a first-class degree in Chemistry,  a PhD in Organic Chemistry, and completed his Post-Doc with Professor P Magnus in Austin, Texas.
