Harun Rashid, PhD

Pharmaceutical Director

Harun brings 19 years of drug discovery experience to his role having started his industry career at AstraZeneca back in January 2008 as an In Vivo Pharmacologist.

He has extensive experience in multiple disease areas including arthritis, dermatitis, inflammatory bowel disease and pain. Harun has worked on multiple drug discovery projects and has led the efforts in establishing bespoke animal modeling capabilities at AstraZeneca, Charles River Labs and Sygnature Discovery. He has authored more than 25 peer-reviewed journal articles and presented research works at numerous international conferences.

Harun holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Pharmacy and a PhD in Pharmacology. He has also completed two post-docs in electrophysiology.
