Colin Sambrook Smith

Director, Computational Sciences and Informatics

Colin joined Sygnature Discovery in May 2012 to lead computational science and informatics in a newly created role. An experienced computational chemist and research manager, he has a proven ability to assess and deliver the scientific computing and IT solutions needed for research-driven organizations.

Colin brings 30 years of R&D experience in the pharmaceutical industry. He began his career at Akzo Nobel before moving to OSI Pharmaceuticals and later OSI Prosidion. Prior to joining Sygnature, he served as Director of Research Technologies at Prosidion (Oxford, UK), where he oversaw informatics, computational chemistry, array chemistry, and analytical chemistry.

He was also a member of the Research Steering Group, setting and reviewing research priorities and goals.
