Can rodent kidney models really simulate the clinic?
With Dr Wioletta Pijacka, Study Director, In vivo pharmacology, Sygnature Discovery

Animal models are used to evaluate the therapeutic potential of novel candidate drugs, however developing animal models with strong predictive validity remains a challenge. Due to the complexity of human renal pathologies, it is imperative that the nuances of each model are taken into careful consideration to ensure the best chance of success.
