The neural substrates of this effect are proposed as being fundamentally important in the progression towards habitual drug taking and addiction. We have developed a mouse model of locomotor sensitization that can be used to evaluate the ability of test compounds to reduce the acquisition or expression of the sensitized response.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Repeated dosing of d-amphetamine to mice results in a sensitized locomotor response compared to the acute response to the same dose<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10339\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sygnaturediscovery.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Repeated-dosing-of-d-amphetamine-to-mice-results-in-a-sensitized-locomotor-response-compared-to-the-acute-response-to-the-same-dose.png\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>We also offer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sygnaturediscovery.com\/publications\/technical-notes\/substance-use-disorders-withdrawal-alleviation\/\">withdrawal alleviation<\/a> approach, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sygnaturediscovery.com\/publications\/technical-notes\/substance-use-disorders-reinstatement-model-of-drug-relapse\/\">reinstatement model of drug relapse<\/a>\u00a0and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sygnaturediscovery.com\/publications\/technical-notes\/substance-use-disorders-cessation-of-drug-self-administration\/\">cessation of drug
