This model had demonstrated translational value for mechanisms which reduce the reinforcing value of the drug of abuse.<\/p>\n<p>Progressive ratio schedules and breakpoint analysis can be used to quantify how novel treatments influence the motivation\/persistence of the animal to self-administer known drugs of abuse<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Repeated administration of the opioid agonist buprenorphine reduces the motivation of rats to self-administer remifentanil, using a progressive ratio schedule of reinforcement.<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10330\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sygnaturediscovery.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Repeated-administration-of-the-opioid-agonist-buprenorphine-reduces-the-motivation-of-rats-to-self-administer-remifentanil-using-a-progressive-ratio-schedule-of-reinforcement.png\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>We also offer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sygnaturediscovery.com\/publications\/technical-notes\/substance-use-disorders-withdrawal-alleviation\/\">withdrawal alleviation<\/a> approach, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sygnaturediscovery.com\/publications\/technical-notes\/substance-use-disorders-reinstatement-model-of-drug-relapse\/\">reinstatement model of drug relapse<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sygnaturediscovery.com\/publications\/technical-notes\/substance-use-disorders-locomotor-sensitization\/\">locomotor
