We have developed\u00a0the antibody induced anti-GBM (glomerular basement membrane) rodent model of glomerulonephritis that mimics human GN by rapid onset of inflammatory cell infiltration and proteinuria.<\/p>\n<p>Anti-GBM model is characterised\u00a0 by:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Rapid onset of inflammatory cell infiltration<\/li>\n<li>Severe proteinuria<\/li>\n<li>Plasticity: Enalapril, Empagliflozin and Dexamethasone are effective in rescuing kidney phenotype in this model<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Following anti-GBM serum injection, inflammatory cells infiltrate the glomerulus. The inflammatory response is dose dependent.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sygnaturediscovery.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Following-anti-GBM-serum-injection-inflammatory-cells-infiltrate-the-glomerulus.-The-inflammatory-response-is-dose-dependent.png\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p><strong>Antibody deposition on the GBM membrane in the mouse model leads to acute albumin loss into urine that is prevented with Enalapril. Equally, the observed reduction in eGFR resembles features of human CKD.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10282\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sygnaturediscovery.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Screen-Shot-2021-02-16-at-12.50.59.png\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p><strong>Antibody deposition on the GBM membrane in the rat leads to severe albuminuria.
