Moreover, the corresponding change in plasma insulin is indicative of insulin sensitivity. As such, this acute assay is an effective tool to assess the antidiabetic potential of novel drug therapies. We can also perform insulin tolerance tests (ITT).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sitagliptin improves glucose clearance in models of varying insulin resistance (i.e. normal (lean mice), moderately impaired (DIO
