Do you want to know how immune checkpoint inhibitors and radiotherapy and can work together to fight cancer?<\/p>\n

In our latest poster, we explored the effects of the immune checkpoint inhibitors in combination with fractionated radiotherapy on tumour growth in a syngeneic mouse model of colorectal cancer.<\/p>\n

We tested the combination of radiation with the immune checkpoint inhibitors PD1 and PD-L1 and found that it significantly increased therapeutic efficacy. With the use of flow cytometry, we characterised the changes in the tumour microenvironment and revealed how radiation and immunotherapy<\/a> can alter the balance of the infiltrated immune cells.<\/p>\n

Our work provides valuable insights into the mechanisms and outcomes of combining immunotherapy and radiotherapy for cancer treatment. It also offers a useful platform for testing new drugs and novel therapeutics that can potentially improve the efficacy and safety of this combination therapy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
