Consequently, biomarkers that detect and track disease progression are important medically but are also critical from an R&amp;D translational perspective.<\/p>\n<p>At Sygnature Discovery, we are utilising suitable\u00a0<em>in vivo<\/em>\u00a0models: APP\/PSEN1 and P301S mice, both recognised models of AD and developing platforms that accurately measure biomarkers with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sygnaturediscovery.com\/therapeutic-areas\/neuroscience\/\">translational applicability<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Using Jess Western blot platform (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bio-techne.com\/instruments\/simple-western?gad=1&amp;gclid=CjwKCAjwyY6pBhA9EiwAMzmfwZwlx7C52TkZCI2FfShu3BPo7p_8hU5SNRCbkeQR6VEvFPwXLSPHfhoCIG8QAvD_BwE&amp;gclsrc=aw.ds\">Bio-Techne<\/a>), ELISA, and Meso Scale Discovery S-Plex assay (MSD) platforms, we demonstrate the capability to detect and quantify clinically relevant biomarkers including total Tau (tTau) and phospho-Tau species (pTau-S396 and pTau-T181), Amyloid \u03b2-protein (A\u03b2), A\u03b2 precursor protein (APP), Neurofilament (NFL), and Presenilin 1 (PSEN1) in brain tissue and biofluid.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Alzheimer\u2019s disease (AD) is a multifactorial disease with unpredictable onset and rate of progression.
