Abstract<\/p>\n

Flow techniques offer more precise control over reaction\u00a0conditions, reproducibility, scalability, safety and ease of\u00a0optimisation compared to traditional batch methods. We were\u00a0interested in reducing the risk involved in the preparation and\u00a0handling of organoazides. These are valuable intermediates\u00a0in copper(I)-catalysed azide-alkyne cyclo-additions with the\u00a0product triazoles required for one of our in-house projects. In\u00a0batch, solubilisation of the inorganic azide component of the\u00a0reaction might require the use of a solvent such as DMF or\u00a0DMSO leading to toxic, readily absorbed solutions of azide.\u00a0A safer alternative is to use phase transfer conditions which
