In cases where a customer has chosen a candidate compound with adequate bioavailability to drive efficacy in an <em>in vivo<\/em> model but experiences non-linear PK, our team can step in.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">When a drug exhibits non-linear PK, the increase (or decrease) of dose results in a disproportionate response in free drug concentration at a steady state. For example, doubling the dose won\u2019t lead to a doubling of plasma drug concentration. Non-linear PK can be a factor of absorption, first-pass metabolism, binding, excretion and biotransformation.
