Senior Purchase Ledger Assistant

Sygnature Discovery are recruiting a Senior PL Assistant to join their 11-person finance team working alongside the existing PL team of 3. The role would suit candidates with strong experience in Purchase Ledger that want to take on some of the more challenging areas such as payment runs and creditors management.

Principal responsibilities will include:

  • Maintenance of the creditors ledger
  • Twice monthly GBP, EUR & USD payments runs
  • Shared responsibility of the PL email inbox
  • Processing PL invoices
  • PL and payment query resolution

 

Regular and Ad-Hoc tasks will include but are not limited to:  

  • Preparing ad hoc / proforma bank payments in the online banking system and posting through Sage
  • Liaise with management accounts team regarding month end deadlines
  • Other projects and supporting the wider team as required

 

To succeed in the role, you will have the following skills & capabilities:

  • Keen attention to detail and ability to check own and others’ work
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Ideally experience with Sage 50 (not exclusive)
  • Strong communication skills across all mediums i.e. email, phone, face to face, video call and at all levels of seniority
  • Ability to manage time and prioritise
