Senior CRM Manager – Nottingham

About the role

To support our continuing growth, we are recruiting the newly created post of Senior CRM Manager as part of our Business Development department. Reporting to and working closely with our Commercial Director, the role holder will implement and support a broad range of CRM support activities that the team provides to the wider company. The role-holder will play a pivotal part in the business that enables us to deliver exceptional Life Science research for our broad range of international customers.

The successful candidate will support the overall business transformation strategy and roadmap, through high-quality design and delivery of the CRM platform; whilst also supporting the successful delivery of the day-to-day platform administration and user support activities whilst embracing a culture of continuous business improvement and self-development, including any professional development activities required to increase both the business and individual effectiveness.

Principal responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

  • To provide day to day user support, management and bug fixing for CRM.
  • Advising internal customers on the transformational aspects of the CRM in relation to Customer operating model, sales, service and marketing process execution.
  • Contributing to business development and sales initiatives including bid, proposal and contract / commercial negotiations with our Customers.
  • Creating commercial data extracts and slides suitable for supporting senior operational and commercial meetings
  • Leading the growth of the CRM best practice through sharing knowledge, training, developing thought leadership and supporting the career aspirations of team members.
  • Advising on technical integration of the CRM application with other software and 3rd party applications with our IT specialists.
  • Advising on data migration and data integrity as part of the deployment engagement.
  • Providing support for user management, bugs, data fixes and general user help and support.
  • Having a strong interest in Sales and Marketing, a strong customer focus and a desire to help colleagues use the CRM platform and integrated systems to complete their tasks effectively.
  • Managing the Systems aspects of Sales and Marketing onboarding to ensure new colleagues are set up with the correct system access and data visibility.
  • Responding in a timely manner to colleagues’ requests for help in use of systems.
  • Working efficiently and quickly to resolve all requests within the agreed SLAs.
  • Communicating proactively with colleagues to ensure they are kept informed of progress and completion / fix. If resolution timescales are outside the SLA ensure the user is fully aware.

 

The successful candidate will have:

  • A can-do, problem-solving attitude.
  • A strong functional knowledge of in Sales, Service or Marketing.
  • Resilience and enthusiasm to all aspects of the role.
  • A strong verbal communicator and presenter, who enjoys and is at ease having conversations and meetings with internal personnel at all levels; through the use of both video conferencing and in-person meetings.
  • The ability to work in a pressurised, fast-moving environment.
  • Demonstratable experience working with both technical and non-technical teams to identify, appraise and prioritise technical and process improvement opportunities. Also being capable of writing about technical matters in business English, and of producing structured reports on findings, conclusions and recommendations.
  • The capability to express recommendations under scrutiny and explain them if challenged.
  • The ability to align with data governance standards and best practice.
  • The ability to work closely with the various teams to agree common data standards across the organisation.
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines across multiple Business-related projects.
  • The ability to complete any other reasonable ad hoc duties requested.
  • The ability to help to ensure relevant employees have a good high-level understanding of Salesforce and the processes that it supports, and where appropriate, the confidence and ability to write their own reports.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • The ability to work independently and perform under pressure.
  • Good interpersonal skills / friendly and approachable.
  • The ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical colleagues.
  • Proven relationship-building and influencing skills.
  • Facilitation and problem solving skills.
  • Salesforce agile and lean design, development, deployment and adoption experience.
  • Business analysis and requirements gathering abilities through interrogation of Saleforce/Equivalent CRM system.

 

You will also have the following experience/qualifications:

  • Significant experience in CRM implementation and administration technical knowledge and capability.
  • Experience creating / maintaining price books for a CPQ environment.
  • Experience writing complex validation rules & building complex reports and dashboards.
  • Experience automating processes within a commercial environment.
  • Experience with complex data loads and with passing data between systems using tools such as Zapier.
  • Experience utilising external data sources to improve the quality of data, either through importing data or connecting external data sources.
  • Exposure to agile project management techniques.
  • Change management experience for both Technical and Non-Technical projects.
  • Experience creating high-quality business case
  • Experience from pharma, biotech or drug discovery / development industry is desirable but not essential.
