In vitro DMPK Senior Scientist – Nottingham
This growing department is looking for a talented DMPK Senior Scientist to support the in vitro DMPK team.
You will join a dynamic department actively discovering new drugs for a broad range of projects, molecular targets and therapeutic indications.
Responsibilities;
- You will design and execute discovery studies to understand the pharmacokinetics (PK) and absorption, metabolism, distribution, and excretion (ADME) of drug candidates
- Where appropriate, you will represent DMPK as the subject matter expert on Sygnature Discovery’s client project teams
- You will aid in the analysis, interpretation, integration and reporting of discovery DMPK data generated
- You will independently apply basic DMPK scientific principles, attend scientific meetings, and keep abreast of DMPK literature
- Where appropriate, you will mentor, train and assist junior level scientists with experimental design and troubleshooting
Experience / Requirements;
- Sc., M.Sc. and/or Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry or related disciplines with knowledge of absorption, distribution, drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics
- Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in performing and interpreting in vitro and in vivo DMPK studies in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry or CRO sector
- Proficient in operating and trouble-shooting HPLC-tandem mass spectrometers (LC-MS/MS)
- Experience in working with cross functional project teams to support drug discovery and/or pre-clinical development
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
